Steel Arm (Cassian Vale) Origins
Cassian Vale was born into the prestigious Vale family, one of the two dynasties that founded Millennium Island and its sprawling high-tech city just off the coast of New York. The Vale family was known for innovation and engineering brilliance, while their partners, the Duvall family, handled politics and commerce. Cassian grew up surrounded by wealth, cutting-edge technology, and the weight of his family’s legacy.
As a teenager, Cassian uncovered hidden archives in the family estate—old blueprints, prototypes, and battle logs revealing that his grandfather, Toran Vale, had secretly fought as the armored hero Steel Fist. Toran’s mech suit projects had been shelved after the city was built, but his dream of a true mechanized protector never died. Cassian’s father, Alaric Vale, quietly resumed the work, building a sleeker, more powerful armor. Before Cassian could learn the full truth, Alaric died suddenly in a mysterious explosion, officially ruled an accident but leaving Cassian convinced it was sabotage.
Inheriting both his family’s empire and its unfinished hero legacy, Cassian completed the armor with his own modifications—drawing inspiration from Japanese mecha anime he adored as a child. Outfitted with advanced servos, kinetic dampeners, plasma conduits, and modular weapon systems, the suit could adapt for urban defense or heavy combat. Naming himself Steel Arm in homage to his grandfather, Cassian now fights to protect Millennium Island from corruption, crime syndicates, and shadowy forces that may have played a role in his father’s death.
